| Oils. I wish I had a dollar for
every time someone asked if my paintings are oil paintings. I've never been
a big fan of oils - they dry too slow for me, have a tendency to yellow and
crack with age, and will ultimately cause the canvas itself to deteriorate.
Of course, the paintings are usually at least 100 years old before that
happens, so, I don't imagine that poses a problem for most collectors. So... when Dick Blick had a sale on Sennelier oil paints (a very old company in France and the same company from which I buy my watercolor paints), I decided it was time to try them again. I started with a larger painting - another 18"x24" - and, sure enough, here I sit waiting for one area to dry after the other. Impatience got the better of me so I decided to do a miniature that I could finish more quickly. This is what came from that impatience. But at least I got it finished in only one day! |

Most all of my paintings are available as
ornaments. This is an inexpensive way to own a print and also begin a
collection of ornaments for either your tree or display area.
Print and ornament are varnished to protect them for many years. Each ornament is signed and dated with the year ordered. $12.00 (USD) plus shipping All paintings except those noted as "Private Collection" are available.
